About The Dragon’s Vault

The Dragon’s Vault is an independent tabletop RPG publisher co-founded by Connor, the creative lead, and Aston, who handles community and distribution management and is based in The UK. What began as a simple Etsy store for custom fantasy art has evolved into a successful publishing brand for 5e RPG content, starting with their breakout crowdfunding campaign, Tempest. As a two-person team, Aston and Connor have navigated the intricacies of manufacturing and global shipping with the help of Easyship.

The Dragon’s Vault launched Tempest, a pirate-themed 5e content pack, on Kickstarter. The campaign surpassed expectations, resulting in thousands of backers and significantly scaling up the logistical needs of fulfillment. Aston described the early days of managing logistics as “daunting and unknown,” with unexpected hurdles, like higher manufacturing costs and the challenge of distributing to a largely international backer base.

Over 70% of the Tempest backers were located in the United States, making overseas shipping from the UK both inefficient and costly. With the volume of orders and complexity of global shipping logistics, the team sought a solution that could ensure reliability and affordability
